LaVeta Logan was born in Daytona Beach, Florida and graduated from Bethune-Cookman University with a BS in Accounting. She received her Master’s in Public Administration from Central Michigan University.
LaVeta began her career as a co-op student while attending Bethune-Cookman working as an IRS Revenue Agent in Daytona Beach, Florida. The IRS transferred her to Flint, Michigan, then to Washington, DC where she worked as a revenue agent in the International Program area. Her career with that agency lasted 10 years; her performance was considered outstanding. “It offered a wonderful experience in tax law and the art of negotiation” says Logan. In 1987 she transferred to the Department of Defense, Office of Inspector General, as an auditor and was recognized as a superior employee. In 1989, she transferred to the Department of Treasury, Office of Inspector General, as a lead auditor. Both audit experiences offered travel and adventures throughout the US.
LaVeta, retired February, 2014 after 37 years of exceptional Federal Government service as Branch Chief of Financial Management Policy, for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service. LaVeta is currently an Entrepreneur with World Financial Group, teaching financial education. She is also a Certified College Consultant with Heartland Institute of Financial Education (HIFE) a non-profit organization.

As a Certified College Consultant, we assist students from 9th to 12th grade. The College Planning Program is a college coaching and funding program, the purpose of which is to help students and parents successfully navigate the complex college preparation, selection and funding process.
LaVeta is married to Carl Logan, a 1974 Graduate of Bethune-Cookman, retired Navy Commander and a financial professional for 18 years and they are the proud parents of daughter LaNia, 25 a graduate from Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. They currently have offices in Lake Mary, FL; Atlanta, GA; Gaithersburg, MD and Philadelphia, PA. As partners in the business they encourage and support each other and make living their dreams possible.
LaVeta is a member of Florida Hospital Circle of Friends, life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated pledge Delta Alpha 1977, Bethune-Cookman University, currently associated with the Orlando Alumnae Chapter; a Life member of BCU National Alumni Association; member of the Newcomers Club of Central Florida. She enjoys traveling and her goal is to travel to all the continents. Some of LaVeta’s favorite places travelled Ghana, South Africa, Brazil, Australia, Cambodia, Vietnam & Korea.
